Q

Describe the steps of the PPSM

A
  1. Clarify & Validate
    - what is the problem
  2. Break Down & ID Performance Gap
    - where are we falling short
  3. Set Improvement Targets
    - Balanced-S.M.A.R.T. goals, strategic (vision) & tactical (performance)
  4. Determine Root Causes
    - most vital step, solve for root cause instead of symptoms (brainstorm & 5 whys)
  5. Develop Countermeasures
    - what to do about the problem
  6. See Countermeasures Through
    - do the thing to fix the problem
  7. Confirm Results & Process
    - result of trying to solve problem
  8. Standardize Successful Process
    - continue to use if worked
