1) Theistic god would not allow suffering (have attributes to stop it) - there is undeserved suffering -2) so no theistic god

1)God allows suffering due to greater good that outweighs suffering and person could not attain without suffering. - 2)Courage is impossible without fear, generosity and kindness impossible unless need and deprivation
Problem of pointless evil 2
1)evil that could be prevented without giving up some great good that outweighs it - murder/manslaughter. 2)Morally perfect being not allow this.
Free will defence 2
1)God could stop this but be taking away our freedom. 2)God more likely to create world in which we have free will as immoral to control behaviours and take freedom away.
Problem of natural evil 2
1)God may have reason to allow moral evil but not natural evil that aren’t due to human actions. 2) Moral God would not allow natural evil.
Response to n evil 4
1) higher animals capable of suffering 2) world is governed by laws of nature. 3) if intervened would make world hedonistic paradise for innocent beasts. Not obvs God would do this. 4) Doubtful God would fix laws of nature so animals would not experience no pointless natural evil.

seems potential that a theistic god could allow suffering - however natural evil still problematic
