A variable whose possible values are the numerical outcomes of an experiment
X (capital)
e.g.
Probability that the random variable assumes value x
P(X=x)

A
Can take some values in a range

A
Can take any values in a range

How do you work out the probability of something?
A
- Divide the probability rate
- Times the probability rate with the frequency or winning rate etc.
- Add up all the answers
