Q

How to find out Union formula

A

Add probailities of all, then minus the probability of intersection as then you would’ve counted it twice

What to do not do when calculating expected frequency!

A

Q

How to prove something is Independent

A

Find probabilities separately
Find probabilities together

Multiply separate, if they become together = independent

Q

If some huge venn DISGRAM with hella unknown how to solve

A

Make so many equations, and then filter down

Finally make one HUGE equation with all variables and now simultaneously solve, once you get one it’s easy to get all

(Or make it in terms if something and try solve like thst )

Q

Also a disguised given first student got this , prob of next student getting thst, does it acc require any conditional prob in second equations?

A

No it’s just saying in the tree diagram the first choice is the condition tney gave

So given that X new prob (take into account affect of thr given, maybe replacement so subtract?) is the answer for one case

If another case, ADD THE PROBABILITY AFTER CALCULATING
