What is private law?
Private law is the field of law that deals with rights and duties between individuals, companies towards another or private parties, and the state acting in a private form.
What is the purpose of private law?
To provide remedies for individuals harmed by others and to manage social conflict and restore harmony.
How is a private law case different from a public law case?
Complaint is from a private party who is injured in some way through a harm done. The question to be determined is whether the defendant is liable for the harm. The remedy is either as monetary damages or injunctions
What is the general principle of property law?
Rights and obligations between persons in relation to a thing
