Explain how beliefs progress into laws (use beliefs, values, norms, mores, laws)
There is an idea about how the world operates and what is true and false, this is a belief. This should be what you think is true and false. In society there is also values, which is a culture’s normative standard of what is good and bad, or correct and incorrect. Acting in accordance with these values and beliefs is adhering to a norm. Norms exist in folkways, which are automatic habits that people confirm to without very serious connotations, and there are mores, which are moral imperatives that are quite serious and violation of them can result in punishment. The most important mores of a society are turned into laws, institutionalizing the most important values and beliefs of a society.
Why do we choose to make laws for our strongest mores?
Through these mores, the most deeply held beliefs of the society are supported in the law
