Printing Flashcards
What is flexography?
A printing process which uses a flexible plastic/rubber roller containing the design and pressing it onto the surface of the material
What is block printing?
The process in which the printing design is cut into a material. The raised parts are dipped into ink and pressed onto the printing material.
What is lithography?
The process in which a printing plate goes through an ink roller, and the parts that reject the water will have the ink stuck on them
What is screen printing?
The process in which a fabric is inclosed into a wooden/metal frame, and a stencil is placed on top. Ink is then squeezed through the gaps in the stencil and onto the printing material.
What is four colour printing?
The process in which four colours (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) are mixed together to create a variety of colours that can be applied onto the printing material.
