-limited and superficial data
-cannot be sure if right respondent was reached
-lacks flexibility
What are ethical advantages of questionnaires?
-Informed consent can be gained
-Responsent doesnβt have to answer if theyβre uncomfortable
What are ethical disadvantages of questionnaires?
-Sensitive issues and hard to explore topics (impersonal nature)
-deception (ppts unaware of data share)
What are theoretical advantages of questionnaires?
-Positivists β€οΈ quantitative data, can be repeated and compared
-high validity due to high no. of ppts
What are theoretical disadvantages of questionnaires?
-Interpretivistsπ due to detached nature
-lack of contact and verstehen
-low response rates as ppts have no motivation to complete
