Education passes on skill but they are gendered, boys taught skills to prepare them to perform instrumental role (breadwinners) girls prepared for expressive role (housewife)
Sifting and sorting
School prepares boys and girl for their different roles in family and society,girls more likely to take feminine subjects (english,drama etc),prestigious subjects are male dominated reinforcing gender inequality
