Steps in Patient Care - 1. Assessment
- Review Medical and Dental History are there any contraindications to patient care?
- Complete Clinical Observations in computer all assessment findings are documented in preparation to develop the patient’s individual Dental Assisting Plan for treatment in computer
- Complete PCR to determine the patient’s plaque score
- Discuss your patient’s current brushing and flossing methods document on the DA plan for treatment.
Once you have completed the assessment phase, you can then develop an individualized plan for your patient.
