When do you use the preterito perfecto?
To talk about things that started in the past which continue or repeat in the recent past. and also used to talk about the RECENT PRESENT
When do you use the preterito indefinido?
To describe actions completed at a certain point in the past
When do you use the preterito imperfecto?
Describing repeated actions in the past and to talk about what someone was doing when they were interrupted by something else. Also actions in progress in the past
Which phrases/words are often used when talking in the ‘preterito perfecto’?
nunca últimamente ya hoy este/a... mes, primavera, semana, siglo... mucho tiempo hace 2 horas, un rato jamás hasta ahora todavía no alguna vez toda su vida

anoche en .... e.g. 1989 en marzo el lunes aquel dia la última vez la semana pasada

normalmente los miércoles, lunes antes varias veces todos las días en navidades diariamente
