VERY COMMON in hospitals
Most commonly occur in elderly
Presenting symptoms & signs of pressure sores

Occur over bony prominences - most commonly sacrum & heel
Can be staged from 1-4
Very tender
May become infected leading to fever, erythema & foul smell
