BMA’s successes:

A

-in 2018 gov. introduced a sugar tax on fizzy drinks, one of the main things BMA campaigned for
-in 2020 the opt-out organ donation system came into force, another thing BMA pushed for
-they campaigned for seatbelts to be made a legal requirement in cars, and it was made a law in 1991

BMA’s failures:

A

-they cancelled the second junior doctors’ strike in 2016 because junior doctors complained that hospitals hadn’t been given enough time to prepare
-the gov. didn’t agree to the demands of the junior doctors, so they were forced to accept the gov’s new contract
