What does the Twenty Second Amendment state?
Each president may only serve two terms in office.
What is the most important duty of the president?
To make sure all laws are faithfully executed
What are the requirements to become president?
Must be a natural born citizen of the USA, at least 35 years old, and a resident of the USA for at least 14 years.
What does the Twenty Fifth Amendment state?
It established the order of succession to the presidency.
What are the two main jobs of the Vice President?
Presides over the senate
Assumes the presidents duty if he is unable
What is an electoral college? (Not in use anymore) How were president and Vice President chosen?
Each state would choose electors. The number of electors per state would be the number of senators and representatives it had in congress. These electors would be the only ones to vote for president.
The most votes would become president and the second most would become Vice President.
What are electors?
The people chosen by each state to vote for president.
What is the electoral vote?
The vote of who would become president made by the electors.
What are the three main problems with the electoral college voting system?
