What forms can data come in?
Budget figures
Employee data
Survey responses
Data gathered in digital services eg scanners at tesco
Text data eg twitter

if a business has a problem this can lead to data collection, collecting data about the problem can lead to the data analysis of the problem which then gives you information on how to best solve the problem this leads to decision making on what is best to do next

On a bar graph does the year go on the x or y axis
the x axis
does the width mean anything in a bar chart?
no
what’s some benefits of a bar chart?
easy to see information and make comparisons
what is a histogram?
has no gaps
how do you create a histogram?
create a frequency table using 0>10
10>15 etc which will go on the x axis then plot them with each bar touching each other.
If there is a range of 100 to <200 and 200 to <400 with a frequency of 10 then u have to adjust the width and height making it 2x shorter but also 2x wider
what is a stem and leaf plot?
it has tens in one column and units in another
what is the difference between a histogram and stem and leaf plot?
a histogram groups the data and the stem and leaf plot retains all original data
histogram is better for large data plots
