No, as you won’t know what the forklifts capacity is
What action should you take? If you find that the data plate is missing from the forklift.
Remove the key tag out report to supervisor and make a note in the logbook

What does risk mean?
What could happen to you when exposed to a hazard?
What is the risk of refueling while the engine is running?
Fuel could ignite (catch on fire)
Describe which way a loaded forklift should travel up a ramp and where your load should be facing
The forklift should travel forward up a ramp with the load in front (forks and load facing uphill)
What might occur if you attempt to turn a forklift while on a ramp or sloping surface?
The forklift could tip over
How high should your load be raised when traveling
Axle height, or as low to the ground as possible
When should hazard controls be applied?
Before commencing your work or as soon as a hazard is identified during the work
Why is it unsafe to operate a forklift with the load raised?
The forklift could tip over forwards
What should be provided for the gap between a truck and the loading dock before shifting the load?
Dock, plates or bridge plates
A pallet contains an unbalanced load with one and heavier than the other which end should be against the heel of the fork arms
The heaviest end should be up against the heel of the fork arms
If a pallet appears to be unsafely stacked, what would you do before lifting it?
Restack the pallet, ensuring heaviest items are at the bottom and if required, secure the load with shrink wrap/strapping
What should you do if you have to work closer than the minimum distance required when working near powerlines?
Contact the local electrical authority to make sure you have permission, get power shut off ( if possible.) have powerlines insulated, use a spotter
