Why would Germany and Britain fighting be a problem in Canada?
A
Because it caused tension between the ENGLISH-speakers (who were mainly loyal to Britain) and the FRENCH-speakers (who felt no alliance to Britain). So if there was going to be a war FRENCH-speaker wanted no part of it (although many went to war)

Why was assisting Britain in the Boer War a good idea?
A
It increased our reputation in the world stage and meant that we would be expected to carry even more weight in the world political theatre.
