Amateurs and Professionals where forced into using different changing rooms.
Amateurs were made to clean the kit, which they were not pleased with.
This caused rugby to split into rugby league and rugby union.

Education was deemed pointless for females.
The only work for women was teaching, which was very poorly paid.
