PRADAXA is a direct anti-IIa anticoagulant.
What is the dosage of PRADAXA for hip/knee surgical prevention?
110 mg twice daily in one dose.
What is the dosage of PRADAXA for atrial fibrillation (FA)?
150 mg twice daily.
What percentage of PRADAXA is eliminated renally?
80%.
What is the half-life of PRADAXA?
12-17 hours.
What are the contraindications for PRADAXA?
Contraindicated if DFG < 30.
What is the recommendation for low hemorrhagic risk?
No dose the night before and morning of the procedure; resume 6 hours after the procedure.
What is the recommendation for high hemorrhagic risk?
Last dose at J-4 if DFG > 50; and J-5 if DFG = 30-49.
What is the antidote for PRADAXA?
Idarucizumab (PRAXBIND).
