1
Q
Investigation of Kinetic Energy (T4, 14.3.24)
Describe what was done in this investigation
A
- We measured a distance using a trundle wheel
- We made someone run that distance while timing them
- And then we used that data to calculate their speed (m/s)
- We used the person’s speed to work out their kinetic energy (which should have been a number in the hundreds)

Q
Investigation of Kinetic Energy (T4, 14.3.24)
What is the parallax error?
A
It is a random error. For example:
* If you want to measure some water in a measuring tube, you have to go to the eye level of the water to get the correct measurment. If you stood up and took the measurment, there would be an error.

Q
Investigation of Kinetic Energy (T4, 14.3.24)
Why do we repeat investigations?
A
To avoid random errors, such as the parallax error
