Q

What could obscure the measurements of a rain gauge?

A
  • The sitting of gauge can be obstructed by plants and trees
  • Wind can blow it askew
  • Large droplets of rain could cause mud to block the gauge
  • If placed on concrete, extra water can splash into them.
  • Rain gauges should also be checked regularly to avoid evaporation.

6
Q

How does a maximum-minimum thermometer work?

A
