50 CPE in the 2 yrs preceeding ( note that must submit before august so collect in the 2 yrs of qualifying period )
30% aka 15 points must come from patient care
if specialist register then 15 must come from the specialty branch
CPE requirement if PC ( inactive ) renewal
20 CPE points in the 2 yrs preceeding
can be from patient care or non patient care
CPE points to duration ratio
more than 1 hr < 2 hrs
8 hr long programme grants 4 CPE points

15/24 x 50 points = 32 CPE points needed
if someone gets their registration in the middle of the yr when does it end
still the end of the 2nd yr so eg dec 2022 is the next end date

25 points with 8 min from patient care in 12 months prior to date of application - support of cert of good standing , issued by professional body in country last practised if applicable ( if practise in another country )
- cert by medical practitionaer of fitness to practise if applicable ( if removal was bc of health reasons )

what makes up the psab
- working term
- not less than 6 members
- members appointed by the minister of health
- 1 chairman is appointed among these members by the ministry of health
- up to 3 yr term and eligible for reappointment
- may appoint committees to assist in its functions

chairman has casting vote in the event of a tie

pros and cons of renewing to inactive pc
- fever points needed
- can top up just a few points to renew to active if she wants to take up locum on weekends
cons- cant practise
if she dosent renew for 5 yrs then dropped off the register ???
