What is a stressor?
Anything that alters Homeostasis

What is homeostasis?
Maintaining of “constant” set-points in living systems. same & steady” Greek
What is allostasis?
Predictive regulation of systemic function to respond to stress
What is allostatic load?
Long-term result of failed allostasis, resulting in pathology and chronic illness.
What are some cortisol imbalance systems?
Wake up 2-3am
Low energy
Crash after lunch
Pain/inflammation
Feel exhausted
Thoughts anxious/sad
Irritable/rage
Difficult to lose weight
Belly fat
Brain fog
What is something that you can get from hypercortisolism?
