What does asynclitism mean?
Asynclitism refers to the misalignment of the fetal head during labour, where the head is tilted to the side instead of being aligned straight with the birth canal. This can make the labour process more challenging, affecting how the baby moves through the pelvis.

When is a presentation scan preformed and what should it check ?
1- The presentation of the fetus should be recorded during each antenatal assessment from 28 weeks of gestation onwards.
2- By 36 weeks - The following should be checked placental site, liquor volume, and the nature of the breech presentation (extension / flexion of the fetal head).
