PowerPlant Flashcards
What engines are installed?
AS907
CL300 - HTF7000
CL350 - HTF7350
What is the normal thrust rating?
CL300 - 6826 @ SL up to ISA+15
CL350 - 7323 @ SL up to ISA+15
APR provides rated thrust up to what temp?
ISA+20
What is the minimum N2 ground idle?
46%
The FADEC is powered via DC during engine start. As N2 increases above 45%, how is the FADEC powered?
PMA (Permanent Magnet Alternator)
Takeoff Power Time Limit?
5 minutes
When is Auto APR armed?
Auto APR switch is ON
Thrust Levers in TO detent
Auto APR time limit?
10 minutes until exceedances are recorded
Manual APR time limit?
5 minutes until exceedances are recorded
List the 3 ways you can start a power plant on the ground.
APU, Crossbleed, External Air Source
What are the two ways that APR can be activated?
Manually - selecting the APR detent
Automatically - N2 mismatch > 15% or FADECs stop cross-communicating
What type of oils are approved for our powerplants?
Oils conforming to EMS-53110 type 2 turbine oil (Flexjet recommends Eastman/Exxon/BP 2380)
What will happen if a thrust reverser becomes unstowed in flight?
The FADEC will command the engine to IDLE
When is engine sync available?
CRZ or CLB power, N1’s within 5%
When is Mach Hold available?
CRZ power, ALT or ALTS, sync on - adjust N1 +/- 3%
What components are mounted on the accessory gearbox?
Oil pump, oil reservoir, hydraulic pump, generator, hydromechanical fuel metering unit (HFMU), air turbine started (ATS), Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA)
What engine functions does the FADEC control?
2 channels - fuel scheduling, bleed air extraction, ignition, engine starting, limits for N1/N2/ITT, overspeed protection, idle for ground/flight/reverse, APR, engine sync, thrust annunciations
