What are the 2 definitions of power? (And equations)

Why do we have 2?

Power is the rate at which energy is transferred
P = E/t

Power is the rate at which work is done
P = Work done / t

We have 2 because in the case of work done, distance is needed. In the case of energy, there is no movement or distance occurring during transfer therefore we need another definition
