Praise others by giving encouraging comments and kindness instead of putting them down with negative words such as name calling, insults and rumors

Appreciate friends, family and teachers by thanking them and giving them praise when they deserve it

Race, gender and ability
There are many cultural groups and races in south Africa that require respect from individuals and to be viewed equally and not in a superior or inferior lens. Everyone needs respect regardless of gender(boy or girl) as well as different abilities. Respect people who are abled differently than yourself and show your acknowledgement by also valuing and admiring them
When other people’s words are directed at you
It’s important to be strong if they hurt you. It their idea not always the truth, accept critism if it’s helpful and true. It’s important to end each day with a short reflection - by thinking about tour successes and goodness and to make a practical action plant to help you develop yourself.

Role in society that you are expected to play depending on whether you are a boy/man or a woman/girl

Men are promoted to positions of power instead of women like having more male school principals than female
Women are not allowed to smoke or drink but men are

Male sports teams get more funding, media coverage and pay than female sports teams
Women have to do more housework than me.
Some careers are seen just for men like mechanics and engineering while nurses and social workers and makeup artists are seen as women’s jobs

Even when they are symptoms, STI’s in women don’t go untreated
