their is no objective crate that can be used to prove wether something is true or false , state we have meta narratives (media) and are used to help create oppressive states imposed their version of truth on people = cause inequality

baudrillard: simulacra

A

knowledge is central to post modern society, knowledge is about buying/selling knowledge in form of images and signs > signs stand for nothing but themselves eg newspaper, characters in fiction soaps are signs about signs . he is critical of tv the main source of simulacra and our inability to distinguish between image/reality
