Describe the course of PAA.
A
It arises from the posterior aspect of the ECA above the posterior belly of digastric muscle and runs along its upper border.

What are the branches of the PAA?
A
Auricular branch to posterior surface of the auricle, occipital branch to the scalp above and behind the auricle and stylomastoid artery in 40% of cases which supplies the middle ear.
