external warming devices, forced air warmers, warm IV fluids, headted and humidified O2 therapy
how to prevent infection post op
-asepsis with IV and wound care
-coughing and deep breathing
-incentive spirometer
sign of surgical site infections
redness, warmth, edema, drainage
nursing interventions for surgical site infections
-understanding type of surgery and expect drainage
-assess site q15min
-record drainage type, amount, color and odor
sanguineous secretion
