This creates a hybrid identity, that Helene different cultures together to create new identities. The media is globally accessible and therefore we have access to different cultures very easily and flexibly.

Evaluation of a post modernist view

A

Some critics argue that the postmodern view exaggerates the power of the media and representations in the media to blur boundaries and creates choice.
The theory is also criticised for ignoring influence of stereotypes which can still be seen in modern day media such as movies. Therefore, postmodernist ignore the stereotypes such as social class, gender, age and ethnicity
