Positive features include
Hallucinations, delusions, cognitive distortions, bizarre behaviors, bizarre speech.
Negative features include
Anergia, Anhedonia, Asociality/Avoidance, Avolition, Apathy, Affective flattening, Alogia, Attentional impairment, Anorexia, and ADL’s.
Hallucinations
Can be Visual, auditory, Gustatory, olfactory, and tactile.
Delusions
Fixed false beliefs that are difficult to challenge with facts and reality
Cognitive distortions
Changes in thought, information storage and retrieval, beliefs
Bizarre behaviors
Behaviors that are newly acquired and are out of the norm
Bizarre speech
Ways of speaking that are newly acquired and are out of the norm
Anergia
Loss of energy to complete every day tasks
Anhedonia
Loss of pleasure and things you used to enjoy
Asociality/Avoidance
Isolate self from others
Avolition
Loss of motivation and goal directed behavior
Apathy
Uninterested in surroundings
Affective Flattening
Inappropriate, blunted, flat affect and sad, depressed mood
