Open position
Working foot not in contact - knee straight except if in 4th opp 5th
Closed position
Working foot in contact with supporting foot/leg - includes 3rd crossed
Normal Level
toe in line with center of calf (open), foot vertical & heel in line with hollow below knee (closed, 3rd aerial/rear aerial)
Default level
Low level
Toe in line with ankle (open), foot vertical &toe at ankle ht (closed, 3rd aerial)
High level
Toe in line with center of knee cap
Very low level
Foot slightly off the ground above 3rd pos
Fourth position
Both heels in line with line of dir, working leg turned out at 45 degrees to line of dir, toe/half pt
Fourth int
45 deg from line of dir, toe/half pt/ball
In rear, only on ball
Fourth opposite fifth
Toe/half pt of working foot in line with heel of supporting foot, slight relaxation of knee of working leg.
if heel of working foot used, in line with toe joint of supporting foot
There is no aerial equiv, never on ball of working foot
Fifth
Working foot in contact with big toe joint of supporting foot, toe/half pt/ball/heel
When on ball wt evenly dist as in 3rd
O/w working foot turned out at 90 degrees
No aerial version
4th opp 5th rear
Position of rear foot when front one is in 4th opp 5 th
Which positions have aerial but not rear versions?
2nd and mid-4th
First position
Feet turned out at 45 degrees to line of direction, flat or equally distributed on balls of feet
2nd position
Working foot straight out to side at 90 degrees to line of direction, toe/half pt, ball, or heel in line w/heel of supporting foot
No rear equiv
3rd position
Working foot in contact with hollow of supporting foot, on toe/half pt/ball/heel. If on ball wt is evenly distributed and feet turned out 45 degrees. O/w working foot turned out 90 degrees to line of dir
