  • Patient Position should stand or be seated on an adjustable stool facing the film holder.
  • Place the breast on the film, and center it with the nipple in profile. - - Instruct the patient to press her thorax against the film holder.
  • Turn the patient head away from the side being examined.
  • Select a contoured cone ofithe size required to completely cover the breast.
  • Instruct the patient to suspend breathing.
