Q

Intrahepatic course of portal vein

Q

Branches of portal vein in detail

A

Right branch is shorter and wider, after receiving the cystic vein it enters the the right lobe of liver
Left branch is longer and narrower. It traverses the the porta hepatis from its right to left end and gives branches to cuadate and quadrate lobes.
