Explain Ruby Port?
This is a blend of wines from more then one year.
Usualy bottled and sold after 4 years.
Ruby red colour and ready to dring as soon as bottled.
Explain Ruby Reserve Port?
This is a premium blend of good quality Ruby Ports of more then one Vintage and matured in wood.
Explain Late-Bottled Vintage or LBV?
This is a port from single year.
Matured in wood for 4-6 years before being bottled.
This allows maturation process to speed up and sediments to drop out of the wine.
Year of the Vintage and Year of bottleing must be stated on the label.
There are two stiles filtered and not filtered so one is required decanting and other is not. It will be stated on the label
Explain Criusted Port?
Blend of quality wines from nuber of vintages.
Its bottled unfiltered and must mature min 3 years
Explain Vintage Port?
VIntage Ports are made only in exeptional years from blend of wine from same year.
Wine is matured in cask for 2 years and then bottled.
Vintage Port will mature in bottle for 10-15 years and may continiou to impruve up to 40 years or more.

Blend of Ports from several years.
Matured in casks for 7-8 years.
Some Tawny are matured in wood and labeld as 10,20,30 or 40 years.
Number of years refere to avarage age of wine in barrel.
Explain Colheita Ports?
This are Tawny Ports made from single vintage.
Matured in casks for min 7 years by law.
Date of vintage and bottleing will be stated on the label.
Explain White Port but just sweetnes?
Often semi-sweet or sweet
Alos dry are made
Explain Rose Port?
This port is produced by shorter maceration then for a Ruby Port.
