International migration is movement from one country to another
What is a push factor and what does it include?
Push factors are the reasons why people leave an area. They include:
high crime; crop failure; drought/flooding; poverty; war.
What is a pull factor and what does it include?
Pull factors are the reasons why people move to a particular area. They include:
Higher wages; Better health or education services; good climate; more fertile land; safer (i.e. they don’t feel they will be persecuted or killed); less crime; political stability; lower risk from natural hazards.
