When the birth rate exceeds the death rate and the population grows.

The number of years a person is expected to live

When the death rate exceeds the birth rate the population falls
What is infant mortality rate?
The number of babies that die before their first birthday

Trying to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs

Allowing or disallowing abortion

What is an unsustainable population ?
Numbers are decreasing
Population may die out
Puts pressure on taxation and public services
Why was China’s one child policy introduced ?
The population was growing rapidly and they needed it to slow
