It is culture originating from the passions of individuals who’ve enjoyed their hobbies and creations and wish to share that with others.

What is not the intention of Popular Culture?
A
To generate profit.
Popular culture is made by the people, for the people. Big businesses may wish to capitalise on this at a later date and make money from people who’ve become popular in their work however the culture doesn’t originally stem from this premise.
