Q

how do they both use enjambment, caesura

A

P- enjambment gives it an anecdotal tone, nearly all of lines have caesura, trying to hold it together but can’t speak fluently as she is breaking inside
W- enjambment and caesura reinforces the sense that the world is out of order, also reflects gradual revealing of photos as they develop

Q

how do they both include rhyme scheme (difference)

A

P- no rhyme scheme, makes it melancholic (ELEGY, poem of mourning)
W- regular rhyme scheme could suggest photographer must work methodically to produce what editors want, and they avoid any emotion

Q

how do they both include individual differences (difference)

A

P- a mother’s perspective so topic is much more closer to her ‘ornamental stitch’
W- bystander’s perspective, not really close to him, HOWEVER, he is seeing photos being developed, seeing the gore and reality of it, creating a painful (like P) and detached tone
