What are polysaccharides
A
Large complex polymers Formed from very large numbers of monosaccharides (which are monomers linked by glycosidic bonds) in a condensation reaction

Insoluble and have no osmotic effect
The cannot diffuse out of the cell
They are compact molecules and can be stored in a small space
They carry a lot of energy in their C-H and C-C bonds
