Symmetrical proximal muscle weakness +- tenderness
Raynaud’s
Resp muscle weakness, ILD
Dysphagia, dysphonia
Skin features specific to dermatomyositis
- photosensitivity
- heliotrope rash around eyes
- macular rash on back, shoulders
- Gottron’s papules
- nail fold capillaries
- Dry, scaly hands with cracks on palmar, lateral fingers
