Q

Vulcanisation

A

Rubber is heated with sulphur- a reaction occurs and forms cross-links between the long molecules

Q

Cross-links

A

Make rubber rubber much harder and tougher thanks to the cross links, molecules can’t slid past each other which makes the rubber always go back to its original position.
