What does Political Geography look at?
How humans govern themselves.
What is Democracy?
A system where the citizens have political power.
What is Monarchy?
A system where the King has absolute power. The power is often passed on through their children.
What is Dictatorship?
A system where one person or group has all of the power.
What is a Centric Government?
A type of Government where the decisions are made by the Capital. France is an example of this.
What is a Federal Government?
A type of Government where some decisions are made locally. The United States is an example of this.
What is France’s education system like?
It is very uniform – all French organized classes will be teaching the same things on the same days.
What is the Unites States’s education system like?
It isn’t very uniform – decisions on what to teach are made locally.
What types of Country Boundaries are there?
Natural (mountains, oceans, etc…) and Artificial.
Why are Rivers bad as Country Boundaries?
They are used for transportation and they typically run into several different territories.
