Meiji sent people around the world and he greatly changed Japan. By 1910, Japan was industrialized and modern.

Demographic Transition is the large-scale change of a culture/area.
How many stages are there in Demographic Transition?
Four stages.
How does Industrialism affect Birth Rate?
Industrialism naturally results in the birth of less children since having lots of kids is less advantageous.
What is Stage 4?
Stage 4 is the decline of population in an urban society.
What is Korea?
A divided Peninsula. North Korea is communist and rural while South Korea is capitalist and is growing. Korea split up into North and South at the end of the second World War. South Korea is developing a system called “State-Directed Capitalism.” South Korea is an “Economic Tiger.”
What is Taiwan?
Taiwan is a small island with its own original people. China has invaded Taiwan and has greatly affected it. Taiwan is starting to pick up “State-Directed Capitalism” and is also an “Economic Tiger.”

An Archipelago with a long history of colonialism and interaction.
