S&C professionals can only provide/recommend to individuals over 18, substances that are lawful and scientifically shown to be beneficial, or not harmful,
Strength and conditioning workouts for athletes
They should be prearranged and athletes must have an approved workout sheet when training. S&C staff members must be familiar with all the exercises and should not advise the athlete to perform exercises not on the list unless suggested by the director or sports medicine staff. This should be committed to writing as soon as possible after the session.
Offenses
1st: Verbal warning
2nd: Day dismissal
3rd: 1 week dismissal
4th: Rest of year dismissal
5th: Permanent dismissal
Program goals
The desired end product of a strength and conditioning program, stated in a broad, general manner.
Who can use S&C facility
- Any type of athlete (even new arrivals/transfers)
- Students in P.E. classes
- All athletic dept. coaches and admin
- All sports med. staff
- Alumni
- Individuals/groups approved by AD or S&C director

What has to be done before athlete is allowed to access the strength/cond. facility
- Preparticipation screening
- Clearance with relevant governing bodies (e.g. NCAA, institution sports medicine staff, and high school athletics associations)
Recommended professional to participant ratio
1: 10 Jr High
1: 15 High School
1: 20 College
