Raw Numbers of unarmed shootings
2019: 15 blacks, 25 whites. This is according to WAPO. But mapping police violence says 28 blacks and 51 whites all unarmed 2019. This is because they factor non shooting deaths, and off duty cop killings
Struck by lightning
51 Americans die yearly because of being struck by lightning. So going off the more thorough estimate of mapping police violence, of 28 unarmed black men killed, it’s basically twice as likely for an American to die from being struck by lighting than it is for an unarmed black man to be killed by police.
500 Americans are struck per year. So by this stat, you’re 17x more likely to be struck by lightning than to be killed by police as an unarmed black man

So if u were to look at the 28 unarmed blacks killed by police in 2019(mappingpoliceviolence) and the 2.8 million arrests annually of blacks, based on the unarmed shootings vs arrest percentage it’s a 99.999% likelihood that an unarmed black won’t be shot by cops that’s the same percentage as unarmed whites
If you’re black it’s a 99.992% chance u won’t be shot in comparison to arrest rates based on WAPOS 2019 235 blacks shot number. The 235 number doesn’t factor armed or unarmed just total numbers
