Q

An officer gives you a LoJack code. (4jBFDK) What do you do with it?

A

Their LoJack system probably went off indicating a stolen vehicle in the area. It just gives them a code with no make/model. We have to search for it. On Informer you click on the paper/pencil icon -> LoJack -> then type the information. “CHECK” in MSG and the code in the “REPLY SRN” field. HELP LoJack also helps with this information. Once you send the information you’ll get a return with the vehicle information.

39
Q

What does the OA status do?

A

Out At. Will show a unit Out At a location (not on a call). Out at… evidence… VWP… the Annex…etc… will also not put the unit in the recommendation for Priority 1 and 2 calls.

40
Q

When Paul units are working on a bunch of abandoned vehicles and getting a bunch of tow request… what should we do for this situation after getting the tow?

A

We should log in the call which tow company for which plate. That way we can keep it all together. The Paul units tend to see a tow driver show up and just let them grab any of the vehicles without keeping it organized… then the RO later calls us and we tell him Langleys has his vehicle but in fact Chapelles was told to take it by the Paul unit. So documenting it will help ensure that the right tow takes the right vehicles.

41
Q

Sequence of events for someone with a warrant

A

1) Give the officer the info.
2) Call the Jail and see if they will hold him (if unsure)
3) Call the originated agency and confirm (Confirm will check if the warrant is still valid)
4) IF OUT OF THE COUNTY - Jail will send the Locate to ORI.
5) IF WITHIN THE COUNTY - Call the originating agency (VPD or CCSO WANTS) and have them send Locate to Jail.

42
Q

Sequence of events for vehicle with a warrant (6F)

A

1) Give the officer the info.
2) Call the Originating Agency to confirm.
3) Get the RO info (Name/phone number) from Originating Agency.
4) The Agency doing the vehicle recovery needs to send Locate to the Originating Agency. (So if VPD is out with the vehicle call VPD and tell them 2D41 is out with a stolen vehicle and they know to send the Locate to the Originating Agency. If it’s CCSO use the RECORDS button)

43
Q

How to get a VPD case number on a CCSO call? For example, 2H6 is on a canine-track with CCSO and needs his own VPD Case Number.

A

You CAE the event and put the new location somewhere in VPD area (VEP or VWP) and then add 2H6 to that call, ACN 2H6, then put him back on the other call and you can give him the case number.

44
Q

Vehicle return: (how would you give this back)
2003 Ford Explorer
Clear
Sold Notice

A

“Vehicle comes back clear, flagged sold out of Washington on a 2003 Ford Explorer”

45
Q

Steps on toning out a Priority 1 call. (Like DI-W)

A

Read Notes
Recommend Units
Send DSP a message “Taking Nets”
Multi-select on Radio
Hold Tones for 3 Seconds
“2B13, 2B13, 2B14 start for a disturbance with a gun, 601 Columbia St unit 123. RP Said the husband has a gun out. Working Channel Control 3”
MSEL OFF

46
Q

If you have RLA and Control 1 opens up, what do you say on Control 2?

A

“Information Outlying Agencies Control 1 is now open 0858 hours.”

47
Q

SS-T Calls… What do we do with them generally? And if there are injuries, what should we do?

A

Generally we put them on a Sergeants screen for review and determine if we will go or not. ** IF there is any indication of injuries, split for med and tell the SGT **

48
Q

What happens if you DUPCAN two calls and they both have units on them?

A

The units will all combine to the kept incident and the other one will dup itself into it.

49
Q

What do we need to do for TOW requests from precincts?

A

Get the requesting officers phone number for the driver to call. Because the driver shows up at the gate, and he calls us, and then we have to call them to call him, etc etc… just way easier to have him call the officer and tell them he is there.

50
Q
