Plot
Several basic events that form a whole narrative
Narrative
A story
Conflicts
A serious disagreement or argument
Exposition
A comprehensive description and explanation of an idea or theory
Rising Action
Climax
The most intense, exciting, or important point of something
Suspense
A state or feeling of excited or anxious uncertainty about what may happen
Comedy
Professional entertainment consisting of jokes and satirical sketches, intended to make an audience laugh
Tragedy
An event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress
Falling Action
Occurs immediately after the big climax has taken place and the action shifts towards resolution instead of escalation
Denouement
The final part in a narrative in which the strands of the plot are drawn together and matters are explained or resolved
Resolution
A firm to do or not to do something
In Medias Res
Into the middle of a narrative; without preamble
Flashbacks
A scene in a movie, novel, etc.., set in a time earlier than the main story
Foreshadowing
Be a warning or indication of (a future event)
