Spontaneous Pneumothorax
A
Rupture of emphysematous bleb usually in young adults, resulting in collapse of a portion of the lung where trachea shifts to the side of collapse

Tension Pneumothorax
A
From penetrating chest wall injury, so air can enter the pleural space but can’t get out. Trachea shifts away from injury, treated with a chest tube to get the air out

A
Recurrent pleural effusions because mesothelial cells make fluid, as well as dyspnea and chest pain
